Every Campus a Refuge at Clemson is a chapter of Every Campus a Refuge, a nationwide, award-winning higher education initiative to address the challenges of forced migration in clear, meaningful ways that directly enhance locally resettled refugees and student learning. You can read more about the national ECAR network here.Â
ECAR at Clemson is committed to fostering a welcoming, inclusive community for both resettled refugees and Clemson University students. Students involved with ECAR are trained in resettlement practices in order to complete service opportunities with refugees in the Clemson area. Activities on and off campus include: English language tutoring, homework help, public transport and community orientation, clothing drives, house set ups, community events, and campus outreach and education on migration and society.
