The Training of Trainers event, led by Diya Abdo, equipped student leaders with the tools to effectively support refugee resettlement and build sustainable campus initiatives.
Drawing from her experience founding the ECAR model, she guided participants through best practices in community engagement, volunteer coordination, and ethical support of refugee families.
The training strengthened leadership capacity and ensured that students were prepared to carry this work forward with intention and care. It reinforced a shared commitment to building welcoming, informed, and sustainable communities.
